Duh....

I’m fertile!!! Yeah, as if we all didn’t know that already! Rick and I basically have to 'think' about having a baby and bam, pregnant. Our problem is staying pregnant- ugh. My favorite quote from Dr. K thus far " Ovulating is only half the battle"!!
My appointment went well, I saw my uterus, sort of a scary spider-veined cream color, the openings to my fallopian tubes (nice and pretty purple) and my cervix. Lovely, I think I could have gone my entire life with out seeing my insides.
Dr. K was joyous as ever. He is such a nice person; I can’t help but feel comfortable with him. He did the HSG and the biopsy and it was relatively uncomfortable but not unbearable. The afterward hurt more than I thought it would though. He explained the blood work that had already come back. Apparently I am fertile, way fertile. I am also thyroid problem free, exciting. Besides the obvious the only really good news is that since my test results were so good it drastically decreases the chances of all this being from ‘bad’ eggs, see I told you I thought my eggs were behaving very nicely.

So now we wait. We wait for February 20. we wait for all the rest of the results from the biopsy, the placental pathology, the genetic testing on my blood, we wait for our ‘plan’. He said once we’ve gone over the results he will line up our course of action for the next pregnancy so as soon as it happens we can begin. This month is a hold out – a not trying but not preventing month. So if it happens it happens, kind of thing. I am going to take advantage of this month though, now nearly half over. I’m going to get my fill of sushi, Brie and other cheeses, and have a glass of wine or two. One more month to wait so I guess I will just make the best of it…
